If you are supposed to represent the "educated" left, now you know why no one takes the left seriously anymore.

It's a conservative talking point that never makes much sense considering. The continued and slow gutting of these things programs seems to be a mainstay in the Republican agenda.

I believe you're mistaken it's liberal charge. And it's the left who begrudge southern states getting more federal dollars than nothern states.

That's been debunked so many times it's pitiful you even bring it up again.

A list of several of those States has been provided showing that those sucking the money are the majority black districts in those States and they're as blue as the clear sky.

There are 4 congressional districts in Mississippi. 3 are red and 1 is blue. The only blue district has a more than 1 in 5 use of food stamps while the other three don't come close. Sad thing is the blue district is also a gerrymandered majority minority district that continues to elect a black based on skin color.

You should be embarrassed if you call what you are as being educated.

States with lowest per capita incomes also have lower cost of living.
A large pepperoni pizza at a Florida Pizza Hut costs $6. In a Cali Pizza Hut it's $16.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

If one wants to add in the racial disparities in the U.S.......the North, Midwest & California.

These are the 15 worst cities for black Americans
    Samuel Stebbins and Evan Comen
    24/7 Wall Street
    2/27/19

    Methodology

To determine the 15 worst cities for black Americans, 24/7 Wall St. created an index consisting of eight measures to assess race-based gaps in socioeconomic outcomes in each of the nation’s metropolitan areas. Creating the index in this way ensured that cities were ranked on the differences between black and white residents and not on absolute levels of socioeconomic development. For each measure, we constructed an index from the gaps between black and white Americans. The index was standardized using interdecile normalization so outliers in the data did not skew results. We excluded metro areas where black residents comprised less than 5 percent of the population or where data limitations made comparisons between racial groups impossible.

Within the index, we considered 2016 data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey on median household income, poverty, adult high school and bachelor’s degree attainment, homeownership, and unemployment rates. All ACS data are five-year estimates. Data on incarceration rates came from The Sentencing Project, a nonprofit dedicated to criminal justice reform, and are for the most recent available year. Because states, rather than metro areas, are responsible for the prison population, incarceration rates are for the state where the metro area is located. If a metro area spans more than one state, we used the state in which the metro area’s principal city is located. From the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we used age-adjusted mortality rates by race for each U.S. county from 2012-2016 to calculate mortality rates at the metro level using a variation on the indirect standardization method. Incarceration and mortality rates are per 100,000 residents.

the standard of living in a shithole like Louisiana about half that of Seattle. The average income in Seattle 77,000 and in Louisiana its around 35,000. You are dealing from a lack of education and look a fool because of it.
