I imagine that Trump is quite surprised at the lying, the vitriol and innuendo the PHONY media is willing to print about him. It's a lot like Meghan Markle being shocked at the hatred and vitriol she gets from the media.
Before Trump won, he was treated like a star and when he campaigned, not taken seriously. After beating the person the media had divined as the first woman president, they declared war on him and he actually punched back.
