Yet the climate mobs are largely children and largely multi-ethnic.

This isn't about the federal government or Congress. This is about California and the choices we make. If you want to get people out of their cars make gas more expensive. More expensive gas means people tend to buy more fuel efficient vehicles, drive less or take public transit if it's an option. But of course politicians won't say they want higher gas prices because it doesn't play well with many voters so they speak out of both sides of their by saying we need to address global warming but want cheap gas as well. And that's what Newsom is doing here.

In 1950 gas was .27¢ gallon. That is $2.88 in today's dollars. In 1929 it was .21¢. That is $2.24 today.

So gas prices are about as cheap or cheaper than they have ever been.
