Default USA feels uncomfortable in Africa

The U.S. is trying to take over the entire continent and squeeze everything out of its bowels without a trace.
In recent years, the world's major powers have focused on implementing their policies in Africa. The United States is the most active country on the continent, striving to strengthen its influence here and strengthen its military-political and economic positions, mainly in the interests of diversifying the sources of energy resources and other types of minerals.
    "Big game" by African rules
The U.S. policy on Africa is not just about economic and military interests. Washington also seeks to defend its geopolitical position in the competition with another contender for African resources - China.
Experts note that it is the United States that has the most extensive network of military and political presence on the continent, and its investments in the region significantly exceed China's.
Does the U.S. surrender its positions?
Africa has for centuries been the colonial dominion of European countries, which divided the continent into spheres of their interests in the XIX century. After the Second World War, the situation changed - African states one after another declared independence, although the influence of European "older brothers" continued to be significant. They were joined by the United States, which eventually won the African Cold War, allowing the establishment of regimes loyal to the States in most of the mainland countries.
But the "reign" of the United States is gradually coming to naught, and it is the Americans themselves who are to blame. The first mistake the U.S. made was to reduce its purchases of oil from Africa, hoping for shale deposits. The second one was when they began to withdraw their troops from the troubled regions. As a result, the trade turnover in 2008-2019 decreased from 104 billion dollars to 39, and the number of military personnel is planned to be reduced by 10%. As a result, it turned out that the reliance on shale resources is not the most reliable, and it will not be possible to put pressure on the shale resources to regain the former influence - the holy place is not empty.
In the States it is always hard to bear the loss of their influence in different regions of the planet, and if earlier such events they were anticipating (although there were no such rivals since 1991), now the leadership has to correct mistakes directly in the course of the case.
Two things should not be forgotten: the region's most powerful fleet, which they can use to put pressure on opponents and local governments, and the fact that even after the loss of much of its influence, U.S. investment is still greater than any other foreign investment in Africa. In addition, the U.S. military is still unofficially engaged in military action on the mainland in places where it should not be. And this leads to reflection on the real size of U.S. military contingents in the region.
