Default McCarthy nails the Impeachment inquiry

If Chairman Schiff, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and their fellow Democrats truly believe President Trump committed high crimes and misdemeanors, they should welcome public hearings. They should be proud to go on record by voting to hold an impeachment inquiry, and – as in prior impeachments – they should be fearless about giving the president and the Republican minority due process rights to cross-examine and subpoena witnesses.

Instead, they refuse to vote, hide behind closed doors, withhold key documents and testimony, and provide their media friends with selectively skewed leaks. It is the Russia “collusion” phantasm 2.0 – the construction of a partisan narrative, not the fulfillment of a public duty.

Slam dunk off the baseline by former federal prosecutor, Andrew McCarthy.

Everyone with an ounce of objectivity knows there’s no good reason for Schiff’s Star Chamber. Far from being justifiable there’s EVERY reason it should be done in public and McCarthy lists those reasons.

    It’s worth the read.

McCarthy? For real? The same McCarthy who admitted the special Benghazi Committee investigation, not to be confused with the previous seven Benghazi Committee investigations, was politically designed to damage Clinton's image? Now there's a credible source on what is real and what is phony

This is the latest Trump deflection, the previous half dozen didn't work, the reason for his meeting today with GOP leaders, to attack the process, have you noticed none of them have had anything to say on that which has already been disclosed? There is a reason for that

And again, for the facts, the prior impeachments aren't what you said, Johnson never had an inquiry, they went to straight to a vote, and Clinton didn't need an inquiry, Star had been at it, in secret we might add, for four years previously. This isn't litigating a case, and the GOP Congressmen on that Committee are sitting right there, they have the right to ask any questions they want, no different than a public hearing

You, obviously falling victim to the GOP talking points, continue to flat out acknowledge the facts, and for a Republican to be crying over investigations the way they are handled is nothing short of total hypocrisy given the last decade of endless GOP "investigations" into anything and everything Obama/Clinton

What do you have to counter what he said? Other than trying to deflect.

I did, everything I noted directly refutes what "DO" authored, and it is all validated by the facts not based on talking points delivered by the likes of Kevin McCarthy for broadcast on FOX

So you have nothing but deflection. That is all you needed to say.

Yes because Republicans are ALWAYS augmenting procedures to do what Democrats say is the right thing when procedural rules
    favor them.

Jack yourself off more, OP. Maybe someone will care.

Democrats have a rare opportunity for the time being to splay Trump's defects in the open without Repuke lies and disinformation campaign interrupting the TRUTH.

I think we'll use the time without EVIL lying participation. MMMMMMMM K? Insert fuck you clap here

That only time will tell, but it certainly has the White House and Trump scrambling, not often a President has a meeting with the leaders of his own party to tell them they are not defending him enough

    Well, are they lol?

They could start by censuring Schiff. That’s about 6 months over due.
