What are you talking about, so who is the US going to use for ground information on what is occurring at the moment in the area? What fighting force in the area is the US going to support so that we don't have to send in US troops with the next crisis? Who counterbalances the Iranians or the reemergence of a terrorist group in the area?
Problem with your view, and Trump's misunderstanding, is that air power on its own will not win a conflict, you have to ultimately defeat an enemy on the ground
