    QUESTIONABLE SOURCE

A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for the purpose of profit or influence (Learn More). Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be very untrustworthy and should be fact checked on a per article basis. Please note sources on this list are not considered fake news unless specifically written in the reasoning section for that source. See all Questionable sources.

Overall, we rate Quillette Questionable based on the promotion of racial pseudoscience and the use of poor sources.

In general, Quillette promotes right leaning positions such as anti-feminism and questionable viewpoints regarding racism. For example, in this article they state “Racist attitudes of whites towards blacks have long become socially unacceptable in America, although the reverse, racism of a minority directed at the white majority, is still tolerated or even encouraged."

I just love how Quillette raises the hackles of Lefty poseurs like you. Any website that is endorsed by Jordan Peterson and Richard Dawkins gets my vote, the fact that it also boils the piss of mental pygmies like you is just too exquisite for words!!

For readers and thinkers who regard themselves as intellectually curious but feel alienated from the lock-step politics of universities and the broader left, Quillette has become a haven for stories like this—and topics treated as taboo elsewhere. At times, it has drawn intense social media backlash, with contributors labeled everything from “clowns” to “cryptofascists” on Twitter. But fans of the site include pop psychologist Jordan Peterson, evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, psychology professors Steven Pinker of Harvard and Jonathan Haidt of New York University, and columnists like David Brooks, Meghan Daum and Andrew Sullivan. “I continue to be impressed that Quillette publishes heterodox but intellectually serious and non-inflammatory pieces [about] ideas that have become near-taboo in academic and intellectual discourse,” Pinker wrote to me in an email, “including ones connected to heritability, sex and sex differences, race, culture, Islam, free speech and violence.” Haidt, co-author of the recent book The Coddling of the American Mind, called Quillette in an email “a gathering place for people who love to play with ideas and hate being told that there are ideas they are not supposed to play with.”

    .

I do love to piss off PC oafs like Loony Central, they leave themselves wide open, being both humourless and fanatically partisan. So here is an article from Quillette just for him!

When life begins is obvious to anyone who so much as passed a freshman level biology course.

Ask a freshman class of biology students when a lab Rat began to exist and virtually all the ones who passed the course [and paid attention to the part dealing with embryology] will answer that ‘it was at the moment the Rat inherited its own unique DNA’. Even if was contained in one single cell—there is your lab Rat. You could even give it a name at that point.

And any biology professor who marked that answer as wrong should be fired for incompetence.

But when the same question is asked about human beings it becomes a case of ‘oh, wait a minute’ lol. Then all of sudden the question gets kicked out of science and into the realm of ‘philosophy’ so as to yield ‘the right answer’.

I think that the question should really be when does sentience begin?

Are we talking about Ents? There's no real difference between a frog and human for first couple of months.
