Take political differences out of this for a minute and the man did something with his life. Born in poverty, rose above it, got an education. Did something with it. Saw injustice, did what he could to change it.
Those are traits worthy of admiration, not condemnation.
he will be judged on the totality no doubt.
may he rest in Peace
But what I saw was an angry, unsettled old man that couldn't control his thoughts,
and let the fact that he looked well beyond his 68 years of age be a notice to you liberal nut**bags

I knew rightys on this board would be rude and nasty over his death . I wondered who would be the first and I am not surprised. Those piling on are not a shock either. Not a second of respect shown for a man who rose from a terrible background to making something out of his life. The hate runs deep on the right.
How did he die? Drug overdose?

I'll agree with the bolded. But he squandered that by being a dishonest politician who was in the game for himself and who did NOTHING for the poor losers living in the urban shit hole The Party of the Jackass had created for them. Those uneducated voters believed that the color of his skin was the only qualification needed; forget his utter lack of accomplishment.

Rest in Peace Sir!
“Rest In Power” trended on Twitter in honor of the veteran Democratic representative, who died Thursday.
The death of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) prompted an outpouring of grief and condolences on social media.
Lawmakers, celebrities, journalists and other high-profile figures paid tribute to the veteran member of Congress, who died early Thursday “due to complications concerning long standing health challenges,” his office said.
