ha ha.. Russia and Iran basically own Syria. Turkey owns the refugee problem ( from the Syrian civil war)
The Kurds can go anywhere except 20 miles along the border.

the best part is we own none of this mess

And sending troops to Saudi, which is not part of NATO, not an ally and the breeding ground for fifteen of the nineteen 9/11 hijackers not to mention the biggest human rights abusers responsible for the butchering of a green card holding journalist.

A Modest Proposal For Separating Blue States From Red

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

Technically, as a member of NATO, TURKEY is our "ally". They are also applicants to the EU(that process has been going on since 1987!)So evidently, Trump is doing EXACTLY what the UN, and by extension, NATO wants him to do! Let's just watch as the U.S. disengages and the shiite muslims lose their supply of American soldiers to kill for allah. I would be all for a sustained U.S. presence in the ME like Europe and Japan after WW2, but they simply have to stop shooting at us and each other. Trump walks away from deals that are not beneficial to America, remember that

Turkey, by their actions, have shown they are not an ally and should not be a member of NATO.

lol.. but they are NATO is a lot more then about Syria.

Frankly them buying the S-300 from Russia makes sense in that its a better ABM as well..

I'd much rater have Turkey then the inevitable Ukraine NATO expansion -why are we fighting the Russians?

For what it's worth, I agree with you. But this is a matter for NATO and the UN, and both of them seem paralyzed right now because they really have nothing to bitch about vis-a-vis America. Everyone who matters knows how Turkey feels about the Kurd's. There should have been a large, multinational force over there between them instead of 25 U.S. troops. The guard force at those ISIS holding facilities should have been staffed with a professional, international force and well protected. Once the ME honeymoon was over, we were roundly criticized for everything we did over there. Hopefully, now we will see what the rest of the world would do. The quest for peace in that God forsaken pit is like trying to put 5 mountain lions on a leash and take them for a walk
