    I had a friend who was a K9 trainer in the Vietnam War. When the K9 trainer had served his war duty and was to be returned home, he passed. The Army has to kill the K9 dogs because they are trained to work only for it's original trainer. So, he served 4 overall duty's of service, just so his dog didn't have to die, and finally came home after his dog stepped on a mine and got blown up in battle- that actually saved the soldier's life!

    Soldiers are very committed people and are very loyal to the ones that help them!
