Default Kaep's Emmy for Best Commercial

Colin Kaepernick‘s headline-making Nike commercial, “Dream Crazy,” has taken home an Emmy.

The 2-minute ad — which was first released in September of last year and was part of the company’s 30th anniversary “Just Do It” campaign — received the award for outstanding commercial at the Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday night.

In the commercial, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, 31, narrates an inspiring message about the power of dreaming big and encourages fans to “believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”

His monologue not only references the #TakeaKnee movement he spearheaded in 2016 but also honors other legendary athletes who have overcome career challenges, including NBA star Lebron James, tennis great Serena Williams U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team and other incredible athletes who have defied the odds.

How awesome! I guess this puts an end to the haters' predictions that he would just fade away and be forgotten.

What’s interesting today is how many of the Kaep supporters and non haters still support and watch the NFL. Not sure if this is a consensus belief or just a small circle of people but the NFL is a racist league and exhibit A is that Kaep still doesn’t have a job.

Then there’s the battle over Jay-Z and has he sold out Kaep (and the social justice movement) by partnering with the league.

    A lot going on.

I've copied and pasted a portion of this post from the 'SC board about Oregon, Nike and Phil Knight. This is the company you are celebrating. From a political perspective the last Oregon Republican Governor left office in 1987. Ronald Reagan was the last time a Republican won a Presidential election in Oregon. It's a blue state. Yet notice the comment about the people.

""Seriously. I won’t try and hide my contempt for this program which I have suspected for many years is the dirtiest on the west coast. Academically the school is a joke and the athletic program has sold their soul to Knight to be an extension of his marketing. Knight- the same guy who has made billions off of overseas sweatshops employing minors and overpriced basketball shoes hawked to lower class kids who can’t afford them by their sports heroes. Disgusting businessman. And it’s not philanthropy.....it’s called a tax write off. So plz- nothing about his “giving”

This same dude essentially runs the athletic dpt...you really think they are above breaking rules. Thibedeaux ended up there- enough said. The fan base is the worst in the conference. I had the misfortune of living in Oregon for a time these ppl are unbearable. Watch any home game as they pan the crowd- a sea of white faces from Oregon cheering on black kids from California/ two things that in any other context they don’t exactly embrace. Trust me I lived there. I digress.""

Who watches the Emmys? Who cares about an anti-American loser who was endorsed by a company who imports over-priced junk from China?

    Oh...you
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

A Modest Proposal For Separating Blue States From Red

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

    Hahahaha.

Well, there's still lots of time for him to get the coveted "Model Prisoner of the Month Award" at Leavenworth. lol
