How do we know this 43 inches of rain story is true? It may have been half that and the public would not know. The NWS is exaggerating every weather event to fool the idiot public into believing in CC.

"Your" reps? Why should the people of the area suffer for what their reps do? I doubt that many of the Houston area reps voted against aid to Sandy--Shirley Jackson Lee, Gene Green?

Why does what some of the reps do make the poor Hispanic and black residents of Houston backward? That is just low class.

All that is well-known information. What is your point? I assume you are trying to make flooding a partisan issue. Are all those people "backward" because they vote Democratic? Or, because they are primarily black and Hispanic? Or, because there are an estimated 400,000 illegals in Houston? What makes them backward?

People of Harris County (Houston) elect Democrats.

Maybe Houston should not have developed housing for the 400,000 illegals. They should have let them sleep in the streets like Los Angeles and San Francisco. Then there wouldn't be so many people whose houses have flooded using all that FEMA money.

Doesn’t change the fact that FEMA lives in the back yard of the South. The same fucks who tried to deny Sandy.

The same white trash shits with their PU trucks, NRA bumper stickers and Confederate flags.

I grow weary of bailing your asses out.

Take your own advice and move to Canada.

Houston is largely black and Hispanic. Why is it a deflection to object to calling them "backward"?

Most of those people you are bailing out are not white but blacks and Hispanics and Democrats.

Are you more willing to help minorities and Democrats than whites with different political opinions?

That destroys the entire liberal argument for social welfare programs to help the less fortunate when it only goes to the "deserving" victims (those who vote right).

Maybe you should rethink your open borders view to reduce the population gains in Houston. The areas east of Houston that took a lot of the recent flooding haven't had any population increases in years.

I don’t give a damn about color. I’m talking policy. The Southern assholes resisted Sandy funding for the sake of “budget” Yet, week in and week out, FEMA is right there for you assholes. Why can’t the south take care of themselves?

Why do you think Houston has so many people building homes in those flood zones? Legal and illegal immigrants are going to the city because of the jobs. 100,000 of the 184,000 people who moved to Texas last year came from foreign nations. That is not a problem except for the growing residential developments to house them.

I agree about the FEMA money but a lot of it goes to community organizations that never get around to using any of it for reconstruction before they disappear.

Many Americans are tired of paying for people who get FEMA, SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, EITC..........

Why don't the reps from the N and E refuse to provide FEMA funding? You need to communicate your views to your rep and senators.
