You seem to want to argue about the effectiveness on laws that are put in place to deter crimes. and establish punishments for the crimes.

Based on your theory, and your attitude about law, we might as well just do away with the laws- all laws since you don't think they are working for us and that laws are so unnecessary.

Who's asking to lift laws? I am not arguing existing laws, I'm arguing imposing more. Aren't over 20,000 existing laws enough? My "theory" isn't doing away with laws, I can't see where you find that in my posts.

I do, however, believe every responsible citizen should have the right (and the means) to protect him/herself, their family and their property. We're far from the "High Noon" you speak of, but shouldn't criminals be apprehensive that their victim might have the means to defend him/herself?

What do you think can be done? What made it this way? What's your solution?
It wasn't this way when we took our hunting rifles to school and went hunting afterward. Maybe we should look at what changed before we blame what's been restricted. Add the media glorifying the AK's and AR's as the "weapons of choice" of mass shooters, it's no wonder these assholes use them. And they were easier to get when I was in HS than they are now.
