Someone said she was getting water in her house. That she then moved up to the second floor to escape the rising water. Then, the water kept rising and she had to crawl into the attic. Within an hour, the water rose to attic level and she had to hatchet her why out of the attic and onto the roof. As she lay there exhausted, she noticed the house had lifted off it's foundation and started floating towards the Houston Ship Channel. A Galveston News Crew reported seeing a woman waving frantically from a floating house as it passed out into the Gulf.
