I remember what LA use to look like. I admire the young people standing up for their future.

California does not dictate the regulations for the nation. They have some unique conditions with cities in valleys that get temperature inversions. They had serious smog problems that imperiled citizens health. So they started regulating cars and companies. The air got a lot cleaner. However, they did not get Trump's permission.
In no way does California decide the nation's regulations. They do decide their own.

LIE and LAME; the only one's exhibiting childish tantrums are the morons on the left, the PHONY media and the Party of the Jackass.

We have had to suffer them since November 2016. It will probably continue into 2024 when Trumps second term ends.

Trump and all of his supporters certainly should have the freedom to drink filthy toxic water and to breathe noxious air and in fact they would have the blessings of many to do so. But unfortunately we are forced to share a small planet with them so we have to get rid of the POS and hopefully, he will drag his supporters back under the rocks in his swamp with him. MAGATS!!!

it's the biggest market, and auto makers aren't going to sell a separate manufacturer product just for CA-
so they DE FACTO did decide pollution standards

Give California fair representation at the federal government before you start complaining about what is fair to the rest of the states.

We really should have about 30 U.S. senators.

States' rights are only when the Reichtards want their state to be able to do something shitty to other ppl -- like forbid gays to marry, women to control their own bodies and reproduction, force out unions, prevent local municipalities from raising their minimum wage, etc.

you clearly do not understand a bicameral Congress.
You get more reps for "the people" but all states get 2 senators.

Go break up into Jefferson (2 r 3 states) or whatever that's called if you want more -that's the formula set by the founders

Good thing the founding fathers were smarter than that.

that is federalism in action - a good thing. This is simply removing a waiver not penalizing CA

The federal government gets to set minimum standards on environmental performance. A national minimum baseline is the very reason for the existing of EPA, CWA, CAA, etc.

They do not have authority to set limits on the maximum, or most-protective practicable standards.

If California and other states want to have more stringent standards, than the national baseline, that is within their authority.

This has nothing to do with science or law. It has everything to do with a petulant man-baby who wants to overturn everything Obama or California did, out of sheer spite.

Improved fuel standards are one of the most effective things we can do in an attempt to slow human emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases.
