    Default Deregulation?

"Trump administration finalizes rule allowing fewer inspectors at pork plants"

"Pork plants will have their products looked over in less time by fewer inspectors under a rule finalized Tuesday by the Department of Agriculture (USDA)."

“The new rule would remove 40 percent of government food safety inspectors from the pig slaughter plants, turning their tasks over to plant operators with no required training, and allow plants to aggressively increase their already breakneck line speeds to process more hogs per hour — and increase profits"

"The USDA’s Office of the Inspector General has already opened a probe into whether the agency concealed information and used flawed data on worker safety when evaluating the new hog inspection system."

    https://thehill.com/policy/energy-en...at-pork-plants

It seems regularly we see these supposed unnecessary regulations subtly being abandoned by the Trump Administration, whether it is fiduciary rules, class action lawsuits, wetland requirements, emissions rollbacks, endangered species, water polution standards, etc, they all seem to be aimed at appeasing special interests groups as we see here so they can maximize profits

Trump calls it deregulation, and throws around the expected cliches about reducing hurdles to create jobs yada yada yada, but in reality, it is largely the loss of consumer protections, and seemingly so that someone else can turn a buck

Just Trump's version of "draining the swamp," seems he ain't the only one looking to profit off of a Trump Presidency

What do Food inspectors do? Do you know?

Why would food processors want to poison or even kill their customers?

Lets see, perhaps inspect finished products to make sure them meet established standards before being available for public consumption

Who said they wanted to "poison or even kill their customers," cigarette companies never wanted to "poison or kill their customers" either, but one can increase profits without the required precautions necessary to meet established standards

Donald Trump is not going to be happy until California has burned to the ground, we are all drinking piss water, and flushing our toilets into the nearest river.

Donald Trump is worse on our environment than any hurricane, tornado, fire, or flood.

Why? For one, he knows the environment is a major concern for Democrats, and two, most of the Environmental protections we now have were put in place by Democrat presidents and legislators and he wants to end anything ever put in place by Democrats just to please his Leg-Humpers.

WRONG; they inspect the entire process from start to finish to ensure there is no contamination. However, they are only able to inspect a tiny fraction of the facilities out there that they are responsible for inspecting. In many cases, they contract it out to the States. And in many of those cases, the States fail to do inspections.

LIE and LAME. Not only are you NEVER right, but you are incapable of posting anything that isn't a LIE or that isn't LAME.

One does not increase one's profits by placing their customers at risk.
As I've said, always a trip

Wait a minute, so now inspectors don't inspect anything and what they do review has no consequences anyway, beautiful

Consequently, now you want producers to inspect their own product, kinda like the pharmaceutical industry, we can do away with the entire FDA while we're at it, those industries are just famous for their honesty and integrity

And as I said, cigarette companies, looking to make a profit, never put their customers at risk either, kinda like Purdue Pharmaceutical, they also would never do anything to put their customers at risk to produce their profits

Time for the personal insults and the corny copy and pastes

Yes, apparently you are on a trip and should put down the acid before you emotionally erupt with your usual bullshit arsecheese.

Do you think they inspect everything? I didn't sat don't inspect anything you dishonest hack. Why change what is being said all the time arsecheese? Because you look stupid and pathetic when you do that.

They already do. The reason is simple; killing your consumers is not a very smart thing to do if you want to remain profitable.

Pretty much; the FDA is pretty useless as their own internal reports indicate. https://oig.hhs.gov/oei/reports/oei-02-09-00430.pdf

How are they not honest and have integrity; do you have something more substantive than your typical emotional babbling?

Cigarette manufacturers are not food producers. Stop trying to deflect like a dishonest jackass.

What has Purdue done that is dangerous to those who buy their products?

Arsecheese, you seem confused. When I call you an idiot, it is not an adjective. It is a noun.

    V. Conclusion
I would like to leave you with this final thought. The securities industry should be proud that it has prospered and served the American investor. We should all realize that compliance, self-regulation and SEC oversight are the foundations upon which investor confidence rests. Competition among firms and among markets will be fast and furious – but in this competitive landscape, strong self-regulation will be a key to success.

she promoted the idea of self regulation as a great idea under Bush

then it fucked us and she resigned
