Yes, the Arctic has gone through a period where ice mass has been lost. So again, stating that 2018 was greater than 2017 doesn't alter that fact. Now you are also trying to exclude seasonal melts, which makes your comment less egregious.

Wiping out the habitability of these regions would cause a recession or depression.
Just wiping out all the Florida beaches will destroy the economy of that state. The North Carolina Outer Banks? Gone. So many regions and economies depend on tourism. Climate deniers are worried about the impacts of dealing with climate change. They should consider the economic impacts of NOT doing so.
