Default California still No. 1 in poverty

The Census Bureau reported that California still has the highest level of functional poverty of any state, averaging 18.2% of its 40 million residents impoverished during the three preceding years.

The info in this article is very real. We are a state of extreme wealth and the highest poverty rate. But Mississippi laughing at us? Yeah, that’s not happening.

I’d bet dollars to donuts you couldn’t even afford to visit out here volsrock

You do realize that California accounts for something like sixteen percent of America's GDP, without it, and a few other States, we'd all look like Mississippi. In addition, California's, along with several other Blue States, keep Red States as Mississippi afloat

And by the way, I'd wager more Americans would rather reside in California than die a life of mediocrity living in States as Mississippi

California gets more federal tax monies than it pays. That whole fallacy about the U.S. needing CA is just that, a fallacy. Mexico can have CA back, it would only help the rest of the country. https://www.governing.com/week-in-fi...-get-back.html

I'll see you one post (https://wallethub.com/edu/states-mos...vernment/2700/), and raise you one, (https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...leaning-state/)

And as I said, without Calfornia, and few other States, not only Mississippi, but the whole US would look like Albania

Absolutely incorrect. First off, your rebuttal is from 2012 and a blog. My link is 2019 and not a blog. Second, the U.S. would prosper immensely if it was not being strangled by the needy, greedy, really useless to mankind California. Seriously, Mexico can have it back.

Sources are plentiful (https://taxfoundation.org/federal-ai...ance-rankings/), and what California contributes to the country even beyond econimic is bountiful, you know there was a reason Dorthy recognized immediately she wasn't in Kansas anymore

This does not change the fact that CA still has the highest poverty rate (when adjusted for cost-of-living). The 2.9 million people of MS suck up very little federal dollars compared to the 39.5 million of CA.

Besides, those CA people think all the money belongs to society and don't mind sharing with MS.

There are no resources that CA has that the U.S. cannot get someplace else, better quality, more economically. CA is really good at providing welfare recipients, drug addicts and homeless people though. Mexico needs it back.
