Default Hey vols-suck: TN suffered third-largest increase of uninsured under trump

Under trump and the nut-job repthugnican't governor, 46,000 more Tennesseans were without health insurance last year as the state suffered one of the nation's largest increases in uninsured residents.

    From the NASHVILLE newspaper: https://www.tennessean.com/story/new...rt/2276127001/

Universal Healthcare is every bit as important as Social Justice, Antifa and climate change.

60% of SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS WERE POLLED! They support Medicare for All. For the TRUE REPUBLICANS, that will send shockwaves through their community! I belonged to the NATIONAL FEDERATION OF INDEPENDENT BUSINESS OWNERS my first few years in business--the EARLY 90s. They sent a long questionnaire on healthcare insurance subject. I was at odds with an obviously slant as to how to answer the questions. They were AGAINST EMPLOYER PROVIDED HEALTH INSURANCE for small businesses, as it is onerous as hell! I got it, I get it. But I also stopped paying dues to the NFIB after that and some other obvious REPUBLICAN stances on how they wanted ME to conduct my business.

30years the LATER, the fucking genius capitalist class still hasn't figured it out. Why the hell not?

Healthcare is already pretty much being rationed. Blue Cross wants you to video teleconference with a doctor instead of going to one when you are sick. Nurse practitioners are replacing full-fledged doctors. The shortage of RN's isn't getting any better. There should be a stipend on top of free college for those majoring in a health related field of need.

3 out of 4 is the best we can EXPECT from the hit and run POSTERS on this board.

PS Universal Healthcare are 'descriptive words', not policy. So 2 out 4 would be more accurate.

I'm not sure why but you left out TEXAS! Texas has been in the past the STATE WITH THE MOST UNINSURED. It's numbers have risen. (I do not not if that is whole numbers or as a percentage of it's population. Frankly, either is not 'healthy').

I don't know why not. I just not that Universal anything is bad for everyone.

I will say that I'd be open to what the Swiss are doing, but only if it were to lead to less government control;aAnd of course, the only way to do that is to move government from massive tax and spend to massive fiscal responsibility.

Tenn. is among the states that have a terrible opioid problem. There should be a lot more healthcare and rehab. Mitch is doing the same thing to Kentucky. Will we ever grow up and fix our problems?

You work and pay taxes. If we had universal healthcare your taxes would pay for it. Therefore you are still paying. However, you don't have to battle an insurance company to get your care. Universal healthcare cost half what ours does and takes the cost off corporations and workers backs.
It is so much more civilized to remove an adversarial system and replace it with one that treats us with respect like Medicare does.

Do you pay for your employees' insurance?
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

You do. It is part of your compensation package. If you are enrolled in your spouse's insurance, you can often get an increase in salary if they do not have to cover you.

It is not the government’s responsibility to raise the insured rate for any state.

We have freedom in America and if you are 21 years old and healthy, you have the freedom to self-insure.
