Default The Conservative response to offering them money is *violence*

Conservatives are saying that if we did a gun buyback program, they would respond violently, thus proving they shouldn't have guns in the first fuckin' place.

If your response to someone offering you money is to get angry and violent, then you're mentally disturbed and shouldn't have a gun at all.

    Gun buybacks are confiscations.

The Second Amendment doesn’t mention buy backs, just “the right...”

Only if you were to attempt to confiscate them after we refuse to comply with the unconstitutional buyback program. Do not attempt to take away our guns; it won't end well for you.

All I can say is, I'm buying up more ammo before the next election, and if a Democrat wins (or if Dems take control of Congress), I am buying up even more ammo yet. There's going to be a HUGE demand for ammo if Dems gain control again.

You don't get to determine who is "mentally disturbed". You don't get to determine who "should" or "shouldn't" have a gun. Screw you.

On a similar tangent, I think anyone who is known to holler about "Second Amendment solutions" is someone that should be subject to psychological evaluation or should be red-flagged. A mouth-breather for whom gun violence is a solution their mind so readily leaps to, is someone who probably does not need an AK 47

You don't get to determine who can and cannot have a gun. You are not a dictator.

I will not comply with any "buyback" or "red-flag" laws, as they are unconstitutional... If you attempt to confiscate my guns, then you will be tasting lead. Period.

Do not mess with rural America. It will not end well for you.

I don't think anyone should be allowed to own a gun. PERIOD.

Society has shown that the responsibility of gun ownership is just something no one can meet or guarantee.

Hundreds of thousands of guns just disappear from "responsible gun owners" and 10% of the time, they don't even tell the cops when it happens.

No one should have guns at all. We can't handle the responsibility.

All those "good guys with guns" in Midland and Odessa and nary a one bothered to show up to take out the mass shooter.

    Fuck your guns.

    Indeed.

    High five.

The Second Amendment remains extant and allows the citizenry to prevent tyrannical government from being tyrannical.

You don't get to decide who can or can't own a gun.

    10 going on 11.

you act like this is a suggestion. you aren't offering, you are demanding.

When you you have to lie and change the meaning of words to make your position defensible, you should really look at your position again.

    I wouldn't go that far.

My father had quite the collection of vintage Russian military rifles and pistols, and he bought me my first rifle at around age ten.

I would certainly regulate gun ownership the way France does.

    Gun Regulation in France

French people must undergo psychological test before getting gun licence

To own a gun, you first need to acquire a hunting or sporting licence, and this has to be regularly renewed and requires a psychological evaluation.

Applicants with any criminal record are automatically refused.

There is also a blacklist of around 18,000 people who are banned from owning a gun.

French gun ownership among highest in the world France is in 12th place in the world in the rankings of gun ownership, according to the Small Arms Survey. Hunters own most of the legal weapons in France. Millions of these weapons are owned by hunters, who number around one million and make France the biggest hunting country in Europe.

To that I would add: no bump stocks and no high capacity ammo clips.
