Well- you should have helped your new country- not betray it. Brexiteers have broken the UK- not that that affects me personally, other than my sense of commitment to my British friends and students.

Brexit was an act of chronic xenophobia - fueled by fear of - and callous disregard for the plight of hundreds of thousands of displaced people , many of whom drowned in the Mediterranean .

"you sound like an i'm alright jacker" LOL.... I lawfully moved to UK. Totally 100% within the set laws. In the same way Australians and Canadians have to enter the UK despite having the same Queen - Flag - language and judicial system. So you see the conflation has been made that a person who opposes illeagl immigrants MUST therefore oppose foreigners entering their country. This is the duplicitous shite the lefties come out with.
MOON person ... tell me how many "foreigners" who are 'so desperately in need of help' YOU have taken into your home. YOu have started crowd funding and got your peer pals to give their /your own money and help these poor unfortunate people. Tell us how much of your money do you freely donate to them. you have absolute freedom and right to give your money to them. what is stopping you??

Brexit victory: UK scraps 'mad' EU plan saving taxpayers billions

Boris Johnson’s Government plans to bin an EU requirement for insurance even on private land for vehicles including ride-on lawnmowers, golf buggies, quad bikes and mobility scooters. The implementation of the European Court of Justice’s “Vnuk” decision could have increased every British driver’s insurance by £50, according to the department for transport (DfT). It also feared it could decimate motorsports in the UK.

BRITISH drivers will be spared an estimated £50-a-year increase in motor insurance because the UK will use its post-Brexit freedoms to ditch EU rules which threatened to hike up costs.

We can also say goodbye to that truly crazy ban on vacuum cleaners over 900 watts.

    Think about what ' scum-sucker ' means, maggot;

Brazil beef warning after UK Government signs trade 'understanding'

DEFENDERS of home-produced Scottish food this week expressed concern over the newly signed "memorandum of understanding" between the United Kingdom and agricultural powerhouse Brazil.

Campaigners are warning that the scene is being set for the importation of beef produced using growth-promoting hormones.

While the new accord with Brazil has not grabbed headlines in Britain, it has been widely reported in Brazil, where agriculture minister Tereza Cristina predicted that the UK would become more aligned with international rules on food safety, "closer to science-based approaches".

Ruth Watson of pressure group Keep Scotland The Brand noted that "science-based" food safety was debating shorthand for the United States-led position that the onus should be on legislators to conclusively prove a food or its production process was unsafe, before banning it from their market.

Under EU membership, Scotland and the UK employed the stricter precautionary principle that food would not be imported unless its country of origin could prove that it was safe.

Brazil, like the USA, is an enthusiastic user of growth-promoting and production-boosting hormones on its livestock, and has an equally aggressive trade policy aimed at exporting to high value markets like the UK. Watson was keen to sound an alarm over the current direction of travel.

"Scotland's farmers and our communities are faced with the results from this new deal with Brazil – assurances are being made that standards will not drop and yet I note with concern the Brazilian minister's comments about changes in phytosanitary standards enabling more exports to the UK post-Brexit," she said.

    .
Pound at 1.40 to the dollar, if this is humiliation then bring it on!

The Pound-to-Dollar exchange rate hit the psychologically significant round number of 1.40 in the early London trading session on Feb. 19.

The gains come amidst an ongoing uptrend in the UK currency which is 2021's top performing major. The U.S. Dollar is experiencing a decidedly more mixed year as improved global investor sentiment saps demand for the world's largest safe-haven.

The rally in the spot interbank rate to 1.40 means retail rates are trending higher, although it will require a stronger advance before those looking to transfer money can attain the same rate.

Banks are offering a GBP/USD rate of 1.36-1.37 for money transfers while independent providers are offering rates close to 1.38-1.39.

Pound to Dollar at new high

"GBP was once again the outperformer in G10, much to my embarrassment and chagrin. I had assumed the disastrous start to Brexit and the emerging vision of Brexit as not just a one-off event but rather as a never-ending series of negotiations and discoveries of baleful unintended and unforeseen consequences would eventually bring the pound down to parity with AUD if not NOK," says Marshall Gittler, Head of Investment Research at BDSwiss Holding Ltd.

Gittler adds that a break of the "gleaming" 1.40 figure would then potentially open a door to the 2017 high of 1.4439.

A confluence of up to six or so positive drivers appear to be powering the advance in the British Pound:

    Positive technical momentum
    An ongoing post-Brexit realignment
UK's lead in the vaccine race
Negative interest rates at the Bank of England now unlikely
Broadly supportive global equity markets trends
Potential buying of Sterling by global central banks
How long these positive drivers remain in place will determine how far the Pound can rally.
"The fact that the pound is benefitting from the successful vaccine rollout may spell trouble for the dollar, because the US vaccine rollout, never very well managed under the Trump regime, is now being disrupted by the nationwide cold snap," says Gittler.

"Sterling broke through an important psychological level at $1.40 for the first time since April 2018. After some likely profit taking around this region you can now see GBPUSD start to look to edge up to around 1.44-45. Partly it’s a sign of emerging confidence in the UK’s economic recovery thanks to vaccines – and the end of the Brexit cliff-edge - but also just plain old dollar weakness," says Neil Wilson, Chief Market Analyst at Markets.com.

Moron. You can't import anything from the EU without prohibitive import duties, carrier charges and paperwork costs- nor export it either.
The only people making anything are those that fashioned Brexit in the first place- the fucking money-changers, you poor old oaf.
