On whose side, the Civil Service? Whatever made you think that?

There is an instructive parallel between the cases of Jenrick and Cummings. Jenrick was clearly the more culpable, but he got away with it and now it's water under the bridge. Otoh, most of the C of E episcopate has come down on Cummings' head. I've never known them so unanimous about anything, including the diviniy of Christ.

They're all Remainers, is this a clue?

Fool. The message was- ' If Cummings can ignore lockdown rules then why should anybody else ?'
That- unfortunately, is going to be the mantra of half your dumbass nation, Comrade maggot.

Hold up- Cummings is just about to commit verbal seppuku on live TV.

Dominic Cummings draws condemnation from across UK society

The revelation that Dominic Cummings travelled to Durham during the lockdown has touched a nerve with millions of people who have stuck rigidly to the governments’ rules.

The disclosures provoked condemnation across society, and it grew on Sunday when Boris Johnson defended Cummings without offering a detailed explanation or agreeing to an inquiry into the matter.

Jenrick is a rising member of the Cabinet.

Nobody has ever heard of them. They are non-entities. Neither were virus carriers, as far as I know- and neither has lied their firey pants off .

Bozo is finished, pal. His ego has made him a laughing stock. He ' respectfully disagrees ' with the Supreme Court, with the bishops , with many of his own MPs and with over 70% of his grass roots. Him fucked. Only Brexit keeps his coracle afloat- and it's adrift and full of holes.

His ' Let's move on ' is seen as ' petulant defiance '. He's a big silly kid in the eyes of the media- INCLUDING the Daily Mail rag.

Polls show Johnson has lost the country — he may never get it back

Boris Johnson is in a wretched place. If he isn’t feeling terrible about the way the pandemic drama is playing out, he should. For the crisis has crossed a dangerous line. Until last week it was a positional problem. It is now a valence crisis.

Oh and what about that pompous SNP fat cunt Blackford?

The Westminster SNP leader called for Dominic Cummings to resign after he visited Durham and then Barnard Castle during the lockdown.
Ian Blackford the Westminster SNP MP has been called a “hypocrite” for travelling 600-miles during the coronavirus lockdown from his London home to his home in the Isle of Skye

Blackford tweeted on 26 March, “Returned to Skye from Westminster but into isolation as a precaution away from Ann and everyone else given the prevalence of the virus in London.

“The right thing to do but hard not seeing Ann. #StayHomeSaveLives.”

This has provoked outrage and he has been called a “hypocrite” following his continued calls for Cummings to resign, who was sick at the time.

Jack Montgomery, head of Leave.EU during the Brexit referendum, tweeted, “Will @theSNP be calling for Ian Blackford to step down as the party’s leader in Westminster? London to Skye a much longer journey than London to Durham…

“As far as we know, Blackford didn’t have special child care needs like Cummings, either.

“Blackford had accommodation in London, provided by thousands of pounds in taxpayer-funded accommodation expenses.

“He can argue he had a right to travel to his multi-acre estate anyway, but not while claiming the moral high ground over Cummings.”

Another person wrote, “Weren’t people told to stop fleeing London and spreading the virus to the countryside?”

A critic wrote on Twitter, “He had a home in London as well no need for him to travel that distance from a highly infected area.”

Another person said, “Lockdown commence 23/3 but on 26/3 Senior @theSNP MP Ian Blackford leaves London (acknowledging the prevalence of the virus in capital) and travels 615 miles to Isle of Skye to isolate (while acknowledging there are no ventilators on island & nearest DGH is 135m away) hypocrisy?”

This week Blackford along with other Westminster leaders wrote to the Prime Minister calling on Cummings to be sacked.

They wrote, “It is now a matter of record that Mr Dominic Cummings broke multiple lockdown rules.

“He is yet to express any apology or contrition for these actions. There cannot be one rule for those involved in formulating public health advice and another for the rest of us.

“This is an issue that transcends politics. It has united people of every party and political persuasion, who believe strongly that it is now your responsibility as Prime Minister to return cla rity and trust in public health messaging.

“We are clear that this can now only be achieved by removing Dominic Cummings from his post without further delay.”

This whole episode shows how distant the real existence of the tory gang is from their propaganda. Cummings was supposed to have freed us from the wicked Europeans, and now we were living through a second Dunkirk, or so we were told. Having been brought up to love the idea of national solidarity in times of danger, the vast majority rallied round, not realising that it never occurred to the gang that any of this applied to them as well as us peasants, and suddenly, instead of a trainee Battle of Britain pilot, Cummings revealed himself as at best a low-life spiv and at worst a potential collaborationist. People are waking up from a noble dream and looking at the normal self-congratulating thieves with sudden horror. I don't give Johnson's new plans much chance now.

A new theory suddenly occurred to my wife. Cummings, she says, suddenly woke up to the fact at the clown he'd made into Prime Minister and even his superior Self, could actually catch this peasant lurgy. He panicked, and ran desperately home to Mum and Dad from all the nasty boys and their knowing looks. Poor cowardly little bugger!

How entitled can you get? Yet Jenrick’s behavior went down the memory hole. One newspaper said last week that he’d had a “good lockdown”. He’s still a Cabinet member, and the bishops never said a damn word about it.
Essentially, he didn't have the lurgy, he hadn't designed the policy, and nobody had ever heard of him anyway. If you suddenly believe in justice, the tory gang are hardly the people to apply to!
