I admit I don't know much about big 10 football in those days. ABC would broadcast two games on Sat. Chris Schenkel announcing one game and Keith Jackson at the other.

Sure. Bo and Woody were both criticized for playing three yards and a cloud of dust yet were consistently leaders in passing yards. Bo had some pretty darned good QB’s. Hairball for one.

No they didn’t. During the 70’s OSU dominated Mich at QB with Rex Kern, Cornelias Green and Art Schlichter. Once Earl Bruce took over after Woody they opened the passing game up even more with Karsatos. UM didn’t catch up till the late 80’s but even then didn’t throw the ball as often under Bo.
