Minnesota did damn near everything possible to lose their game against Iowa and still only barely lost to them... Then, to one-up themselves, their head coach screwed them out of (potentially, but highly likely they would've gotten it) a touchdown that would've tied the game at 20 each with a good amount of time left.
That does make the Big 10 more interesting though... And I'd love to see Penn State beat Ohio State to double down on the interesting

I got a feeling that OSU will still be fine. They are crushing each and every nothing burger team (as they ought to), so they've been consistent there. They also handily beat a decent Wisconsin team. Other than that one game, they have yet to be adequately tested against any "good" team. With that said, only Michigan State and Wisconsin have held them below 40 points of offense.
The Penn State game should be a semi-decent indicator of where OSU is in the grand scheme of things. But even then, that's not LSU, Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, etc...
I'm looking forward to the impending Georgia - LSU matchup. Old style SEC defense and stale offense against a seemingly unstoppable offense.
LSU has had a pattern all yr. of jumping out to a good lead, then their defense starts getting lazy.

Oregon, Utah, Oklahoma or Baylor deserve a shot assuming they win out going into their conference championships. Utah and Baylor are the redheaded stepchildren. One of those four teams will get screwed out of the CFP and for bama to get in two teams will have to get screwed.
Almost guaranteed a one loss team will win their conference championship so I see almost no path for bama.

And that was their first game. All wins since.
Personally I think there will be too many one loss teams that have won their conference championship to allow two SEC teams in the CFP. I'm an LSU fan and even I don't think they should get in without winning the conference playoff.

[QUOTE=MASON;3357590]My point is still valid. Woody did play an ultra conservative brand of football but so did the vast majority of college teams as the rules favored defense and the run game. Crossing routes and slants, over the middle, so common today would have been a good way to get your receiver decapitated.

Having said that LSU losing the SEC championship game would probably mean an undeserving SEC team would get the #4 spot , which would be particularly agregious as the Big 10 is obviously the superior conference this year.
