Werewolf WHEN WE NEED OUR ALLIES MOST: trump IS INSULTING THEM-HOW IS MAGA???

There are certainly things that can be made better, but this is a recipe for disaster......

Lots of you trust him, a lot, but if he is wrong our country is & will continue to pay the huge price for these blunders

As President Trump departs for France to represent the U.S. at the G-7 summit of world leaders, the memories of the insults he has leveled against key U.S. allies will still be fresh, and he'll be interacting with some of those same leaders over the next few days.

In recent weeks, the president has lashed out at some of the United States' steadfast friends, while offering glowing words for strongmen like North Korea's Kim Jong Un and Russia's Vladimir Putin. In recent days, Mr. Trump has revived his suggestion that Russia should be reinstated into the group of seven leaders of major advanced economies, blaming former President Obama for allowing Russia to annex Crimea. Mr. Trump sometimes suggests America's friends treat her worse than her enemies, particularly on trade, a worldview and approach to international politics that critics say sends the wrong signal to a watching world.

"Our allies take advantage of us far greater than our enemies," the president told his audience at a manufacturing plant in Pennsylvania earlier this month.

Earlier this week, the president unloaded on Denmark's prime minister for suggesting Greenland is indeed not for sale, describing her comments as "nasty" and suddenly canceling his trip to Denmark. Mr. Trump described his disgust in detail to reporters on the White House South Lawn Wednesday.

"No – Denmark, I looked forward to going, but I thought that the prime minister's statement – that it was absurd; that it was an absurd idea – it was nasty," Mr. Trump said Wednesday. "I thought it was an inappropriate statement. All she had to do is say, 'No, we wouldn't be interested.' But we can't treat the United States of America the way they treated us under President Obama. I thought it was a very not nice way of saying something."

He's also laid into Britain, France and Germany for not taking back ISIS fighters captured in Syria, threatening to release the fighters back into those countries.

"And, by the way, we're holding thousands of ISIS fighters right now, and Europe has to take them," Mr. Trump also told reporters on the White House South Lawn Wednesday. "And if Europe doesn't take them, I'll have no choice but to release them into the countries from which they came, which is Germany, and France, and other places."

The president has also voiced intense frustration with G-7 member France and French President Emmanuel Macron over trade-related issues, even threatening to place tariffs on French wines.

"France just put a digital tax on our great American technology companies," the president tweeted last month. "If anybody taxes them, it should be their home Country, the USA. We will announce a substantial reciprocal action on Macron's foolishness shortly."

Mr. Trump, who does not drink alcohol, added, "I've always said American wine is better than French wine!"

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

I am comforted by the fact that you are seldom right about anything. So, it is only okay to insult the President, he should remain silent? STFU

Pretty much. Just look at Truth Detector's signature. The New Right is not about helping America, it's about trying to anger people.

Trump heading to G-7 summit after insulting allied world leaders

There are many Trump boot-lickers on this board who are not only fine with Trump's petulant and child-like behaviour, but will cheer it on from the sidelines.

You want to know why? Because the internets taught me years ago that political message boards attract sociopaths, the socially maladjusted, INCEL, basement dwellers, the uncouth, the uncultured, and the ill-mannered. These are exactly the types of lower life forms who are not familiar with social etiquette, decorum, or minimally acceptable protocol - and will see nothing wrong with how Trump comports himself.

They're all not snowflakes. Nothing out of the ordinary. They're just not used to the U.S. not rolling over for them.....and standing
up to them to not take advantage of us as far as different expenditures such as NATO.

Why is this when we need our allies most? We have a political party that is willing to burn our house down because they didn't win an election. That is the insidious threat we are facing right now and not something our allies can help with.

    Perhaps.........

I think he is rude & crass & we need our allies now, more than we have in a long, long time....... The trade war w/ China is set to go to the next level, you think we should be fighting a two front war against China & EUROPEAN UNION???

I would think a wise leader would deal first w/ the biggest threat first-China w/ our allies on our side..

After victory they can be dealt w/...........

Or does that not make sense to you??

No Silly Billy; we need the Party of the Jackass to stop acting like the enemy trying to burn the house down over an election loss.

That's exactly PUTTING AMERCIA FIRST. Telling others they cannot demand and depend on the US TAXPAYER being a world wide ATM machine any longer. Let them finance their own Green New Deals.

Good argument....a bended knee to your intellectual greatness. How has it been working out for the US TAXPAYER while not Going it alone over the past 50 years? So many police actions, so much money and blood transferred to the EU and others...resulting in what? Over 20 Trillion dollars in debt. Yeah....lets go it alone and pay our own bills and let the world eat their own cake they have baked. For the 1st time in over half a century the US can tell the world to go to hell in a hand basket as the US is now energy independent and could sustain itself for well over 200 years.

Can you even begin to imagine the Reichwing outrage if Obama had ordered American companies to stop doing business in and with another country???? They could righteously claim that that is fascism, and they'd be correct. But if Twittler does it? <crickets>

Being allies with any one person or group of people or countries is a 2 way street. We're just finally
holding up a STOP sign to some who have run all over us for years.
