Gas prices are down to $2.30/gallon in Atlanta now. Last year, it was about $3.30/gallon.

I'm going to wait for these figures to be revised.but the economy is good -bringing it in on a soft landing is the key
The economy is not good. Why do you keep saying it is? You're the ones who laughably predicted at least 3% growth from your tax cut. So where's the 3% growth?

The economy is booming and will ensure the president a second term.

The only things the radical Democrat Socialists have to offer are impeachment, higher taxes, open borders, sanctuary cities, anti-Semites in Congress, illegals voting, Medicare for all including illegals, the loony new green deal, and on and on.

Only morons on the left are prattling and fearing recession. For idiots on the left so they can understand what the definition of recession is:

The working definition of a recession is two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth as measured by a country's gross domestic product (GDP)

^^Stuck on moron. This idiot thought that eight years of Obama's average 1.4% GDP growth was better.

I have another, tell the leader of your cult to stop lying. Recession warnings from HIS own advisors is not anyone else CHEERING, stupid.
Trump's boasting and denial are LIES. Sorry facts are things you ascribe motivations to. But that's just you being a lemming. Another fact
is that TRump's manufactured trade war with China is the primary cause. Just another fact for you to deny, lie about, dissemble, and essentially
prove you are a fucking idiot.

Lying about the state of the economy can't possibly have a positive effect on the economy.

The USA is an oil exporter. When the price of oil drops, it hurts business and oil worker jobs in the USA, as it reduces costs for consumers. The USA exports a lot of refined oil products. When foreign markets slow down and buy less, that also hurts business and workers in the US refining industry. The USA still imports more oil than it exports, but will likely become oil independent within years. The USA now supplies 80% of the oil we use.

"In the third quarter of 2018, the U.S. imported roughly 10.2 million barrels of petroleum per day, with the largest amounts coming from Canada (41%) and Saudi Arabia (10%).

In the third quarter of 2018, the U.S. exported roughly 7.5 million barrels of petroleum per day. The largest markets for U.S. petroleum exports are Mexico and Canada, but the U.S. exports petroleum to 180 countries."

In order to enjoy world trade, we have to participate in it. That means we buy and sell to other nations. When their buying goes down, our sales go down. We become interdependent. Each of our economies depends on the other for part of their volume. Logically, neither of us is thus motivated to hurt the other, because when they get into trouble, it hurts us too. I'm sure experts have tried to tell Trump this. The problem is he won't listen. Nobody wins a trade war. You hurt each other. The one who gets hurt the least is declared the winner. Really, you both lose.

Who wants to get into a losing contest to see who can lose the least?

That's what a trade war is.

    It has already hurt us.

One of the reasons the debt is going so high is because Trump is handing billions to farmers who would basically be wiped out because China stopped buying our soybeans and began buying them from Brazil instead. That's ridiculous.

I understand we have a trade problem with China. But there has to be a better way to go about this. Relying on Trump to 'negotiate' with Xi Jinping is like sending your bull into the China shop. Trump doesn't negotiate. He tries to get some kind of edge, some kind of advantage, and he issues ultimatums. He's terrible at negotiations. His approach is all wrong. The Chinese understand what I explained above. Mutual benefit. If your neighbor is hurt, it hurts you too. Trump is trying to negotiate by hurting the Chinese economy to force them to do what he wants. He never even bothered to ASK! The Chinese know that if our economy crashes it hurts them too. If we stop buying, they stop earning. Trump doesn't understand that if the Chinese economy crashes it hurts us too. If we can't get cheap Chinese products, we are going to be paying more for stuff. That will cause inflation in the USA. That's not good. That can be bad.

Trump is in the process of turning over the apple cart.

And it's not like that can just be flipped back upright just as easily. It can't. He's really gonna end up really screwing up the economy. And since the debt is already so high that gives us less power to deal with the next recession. The man appears to have no idea what he's doing, and could hardly care less.

Same reason they complain about taxes. You pay more, keep less.

My location is the USA. I decline to be more specific. Some regions of the USA are approaching $2/gallon. $4/gallon appears to be near the highest price in the nation. Only those who live in those areas know how they can justify accepting that in return for the personal rewards of living there.
