Tuesday, three more members of the National Rifle Association have stepped down making it a total of seven NRA board members to leave in the last several months, CNN reported.

The first three were board members who complained about the money NRA chief Wayne LaPierre used to pay for a Beverly Hills wardrobe. Their responsibilities were cut and they left shortly after.

Professional sports shooter Julie Golob left the board just one week ago before her three-year term was up.

“This was not a decision I made lightly. I apologize to those members who have supported me that I will not be completing the full 3-year term. I also feel this is the best decision for me and my family,” she explained in a note posted on her website.

Country music singer and NRA board member Craig Morgan has resigned, according to the CNN report. NASCAR team owner Richard Childress was another who stepped down on Monday along with David Lehman, the deputy executive director and general counsel at the NRA’s Insititute for Legislative Action...

You do realize that the second amendment is not a restriction on citizens right? It's a restriction on the Government, any law written, that infringes in any way, is a violation of the oath Congress swore!

NRA Agreed to Buy $6.5M Dallas Mansion for CEO Wayne LaPierre in Wake of Parkland Mass Shooting: WSJ

The National Rifle Association previously agreed to pay $6.5 million to buy a mansion for CEO Wayne LaPierre, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

A top NRA executive, then-Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Wilson H. Phillips Jr., signed a document in May 2018 promising the gun lobby would contribute $6.5 million for 99% ownership of a company formed to buy a Dallas mansion for LaPierre, according to a copy of the document reviewed by the Journal. The NRA and its then-outside advertising firm, Ackerman McQueen, told the Journal that the planning to buy the home started in the wake of the Parkland, Florida, mass shooting, when LaPierre had concerns about his safety. The deal ultimately fell through.

    The NRA does good work.

It would be a shame if the corruption charges against some of its leadership end up being true.

No mass shooters have been NRA members.

Let's NOT forget LaPierre went on a caribbean vacation. He would only go to an island that had PINK sand. I was left muttering when I heard that one.

(Hell, that warrants it's own thread). Look for it!
