Default Trump assault on good American jobs continues, MI steel workers latest victims

    Reuters:

U.S. Steel will temporarily lay off up to 200 workers at its Great Lakes facility in Michigan in coming weeks, according to a filing the steelmaker made with the State of Michigan.

In mid-June, the company said it would idle two blast furnaces at its Great lakes and Gary Works plants, citing lower steel prices and softening demand.
An official at the United Steelworkers union, which represents U.S. Steel workers, said lay-offs were also planned for the Gary Works facility in Indiana.

good jobs disappearing is the reason the unemployment rate is so low - so many people are working 2-3 jobs just to pay rent and dine out once a month

You're got a good point about dining out; the restaurant industry has been in a recession for several years now, which just goes to show that people are living from pay check to pay check.

If Trump wants to be re-elected, he's going to have to remedy this situation, like yesterday.
