    Oh golly gee...what a surprise!
Yeah, EINSTEIN; the tax cuts led to ECONOMIC GROWTH and GENRATED HIGHER TAX REVENUES, EVEN AS THE TAXPAYERS KEEP MORE OF THEIR OWN MONEY.

Saying the Republican lie that Democrats are the big spenders or that Democrats lie when they say Republicans want to cut social programs have nothing to do with Trump and I did not mention Trump in my post. Those lies have been around long before Trump.

Nothing truer in politics than your last sentence. It’s why we have $22 trillion (and rapidly growing) in national debt. And this most recent budget was a perfect example of bi-partisan excess.

At the end of the day we as voters want low taxes and lots of government services. The math doesn’t add up to give us those two things but we demand it anyway. And because we don’t hold politicians responsible they are going to continue to give it to us because as you said, they don’t win votes by cutting things

All that wage growth is skewed by growth at the top.

Take out the 1%'s wage growth and what does the picture look like?

You promised wage increases of at least $4,000.

Even the links you provided show that wasn't achieved.

Republicans do win votes by irresponsibly cutting taxes to the point that the deficit is approaching a trillion dollars.

Agreed. I did not favor the tax cuts without big spending cuts which are needed with or without a tax cut.

Agreed. And Democrats push for irresponsible spending programs--free college, forgiving student loans, etc. Tax cuts and spending programs are all aimed at getting votes even if we think they are for a good cause. Republicans support anything Trump does even when liberal and Democrats just want to tax the rich to pay for everything.
