Default Will Britain intervene on behalf of Hong Kong?

Dame Anson Chan who was Chief Secretary before and after the handover hopes so.
Britain was the co-signer. They need to help ensure that the Treaty is followed and
delivers on the promises at least until 2047. She feels they have the legal and moral
responsibility to do so. She's not a fan of Lam who was appointed by Beijing.

Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Scenes of a jam-packed Victoria Park and spilling out into the surrounding areas on Sunday.

Amazing. And does anyone see a LOGO on any of them? That would NOT happen here.

This could get bad quickly. I would be surprised if Bejing keeps the hands off approach much longer. Britain can try diplomacy with China to honor the treaty. If that fails they would need help.

I don't know if Beijing can force anything. Aside it being a travesty, I can't imagine that
they want anything at all to look remotely like Tienanmen Square. I'm looking forward to
the G7 and hopefully hearing some harsh comments...beginning with U.K. They are the
ones who have to start the ball rolling which will give the green light for other countries
    to follow suit.

Good point.... Hopefully they do step up & others follow suit calling them out........

Much as the Chinese would love to steam in and bash heads, they also know that the international repercussions would be enormous.

In just 15 minutes this thorough explanation of how and why Hong Kong got to this point
and the role that China has played in "beginning" its takeover a bit early to say the least.
Nice shot of the world's longest sea bridge as well. Immediately after the handover most
Hong Kongers considered themselves Chinese. That soon changed and they preferred
to be recognized as Hong Kongers. China infiltrated their school systems as well by forcing
school books to be written in Mandarin rather than Cantonese. Too many topics covered here
that it's simpler to listen and watch. Enjoy.
