Whoever wins the election. this simply taxing Americans till China capitulates isn't going to win the trade war-they are many moves ahead......

That isn't trump's fault, but his plan isn't going to work........ It just isn't as easy as he thought, he should have done his research before he went against all the experts, even in his own admin...........
like what? serious negotiations caused by tariffs and time pressure to do so? yes indeed

Nixon had the advantage that the two countries were belligerents toward one another when he came into office, and that China was in a weak position compared with today.

they hurt China and the US -but not equally and not across all sectors.
China is pumping in cash reserves, but even there the economy is contracting and losing manufacturing and investment.

Here not so much except farming where Trump has funneled money from tariffs to farmers.
But many of the 10% tariffs are just absorbed by business.

When it gets to 25% -real pain starts

yes but Russia is still much weaker in the economy and MUST get closer to China SINCE we applied economic sanctions

Our Russian sanctions are damaging our own foreign alignments -they need to start coming off

The tariffs were unnecessary and are costing American workers $1,000 while killing jobs.

But you get to own this policy now and forever! So congrats! Anytime anyone thinks of shitty economic policy, they can think of you and your 1000 IDs.

You all promised growth of at least 3%, and you failed there.

You all promised wage increases of $4,000-$9,000, and you failed there.

You all promised the stock market would reach new heights, but it's grown by less than 2,000 points in 18 months, so you failed there.

You all promised you'd create jobs, but 2018 saw the fewest jobs created since 2011, so you failed there.

You all promised the deficit would be reduced, but instead it's grown by 17% this year alone, so you failed there.

Why are you still posting? Nothing you say is accurate.
