Default Union Workers Told "Attend trump Klan Rally, Or Don't Get Paid"

While attendance was not mandatory, union workers who didn't show up had to forfeit their pay, similar to if they had opted to skip work for the day, according to the Post-Gazette. One contractor, referencing a memo sent to union leaders by Shell, told employees that they would only be paid if they showed up at 7 a.m., scanned their ID cards, and prepared to stand for hours through lunch. "No scan, no pay," they were told.
Workers were also told "no yelling, shouting, protesting or anything viewed as resistance will be tolerated at the event. An underlying theme of the event is to promote good will from the unions. Your building trades leaders and jobs stewards have agreed to this," the newspaper reported.
An anonymous union leader told the Post-Gazette

trump takes credit for factory that was approved by Obama, and planned in '16.

Washington (CNN)In a speech on Tuesday at Royal Dutch ethane cracker plant northwest of Pittsburgh, President Donald Trump claimed he was the sole president responsible for the plant's existence.

"It was the Trump administration that made it possible. No one else. Without us, you would never have been able to do this," he said.
Trump was taking far too much credit.
Facts First: Shell made its final decision to build the plant in June 2016, during Barack Obama's presidency. A federal regulatory commission chaired by a Trump appointee did approve a pipeline that will feed ethane to the plant.

Shell announced the likely site of the plant in 2012. The company revealed in 2015 that it would begin an $80 million environmental remediation project on the site. It issued a June 7, 2016, press release announcing it would proceed with the plant, saying it had made a "final investment decision to build a major petrochemical complex, comprising an ethylene cracker with polyethylene derivatives unit, near Pittsburgh."

You forgot to say that it was overtime pay for attending not regular pay, that their coworkers would receive if they attended. Lying sack of mierda.

Liar. If they didn't attend, they didn't get paid overtime for the mandatory 50+ hour work week.

So that is not pay? They were pressured to attend. Most of them had to be.
