Sure. We each have a point to make. In your case (and I don't disagree) you are stressing the heinous nature of being forced to sit through hours of listening to a lying, cheating thief, whether you want to or not. Your position is that if they refused, they would lose out on time and a half pay. In essence, the monetary penalty makes it virtually impossible to refuse to suffer a trump gathering.

That isn't unlike those who are making the opposite argument, with the same claim about how much they were getting paid. That claim is that they were being well compensated for the pain/suffering.

The truth is, no matter the reason, if anyone misses a day of work they don't qualify for the overtime pay they would get at the end of a full week of work.
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

So, does anyone know? How many skipped out? Will they really get docked? How many signed in...and left? How many actually attended? How long was the speech? Did they interview anyone who only did it for the money? Did they interview anyone who will never get over having to sit and watch him?

But they weren't FORCED; because they could have refused to attend and the rest of your post is just hubris, posted to try and support your opening lie.

Something else interesting, the UNION agreed to those terms! I don't remember any union EVER agreeing with a republican on anything!

The posting of this thread is nothing more then another example of liberal desperation and from the quantity of other threads they've started, it's apparent that they are really worried that Trump will win in 2020 and the DNC may just become extinct.

They were instructed: “No yelling, shouting, protesting or anything viewed as resistance,” according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Workers at a massive new Shell plant in Pennsylvania had to attend a speech by President Donald Trump there earlier this week to be paid — and were ordered not to protest, reported the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Attendance was not mandatory for thousands of union workers at Royal Dutch Shell’s petrochemical plant north of Pittsburgh, but they had to forfeit pay for the day if they skipped, according to attendance and comportment information obtained by the newspaper.

    Sieg Heil Drumpf!

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that a contractor sent a memo to union leaders that the employees’ attendance at a Shell Pennsylvania Petrochemicals Complex in Monaca, Pennsylvania was “not mandatory.” However, a supervisor for the contractor wrote that only employees who arrived at the hours-long event would receive pay, writing, “NO SCAN, NO PAY.”

Although the event was ostensibly scheduled to focus on “America’s Energy Dominance and Manufacturing Revival,” Trump was later criticized for pushing a political message during his visit, which was sponsored by the White House and funded by taxpayer dollars.
