Again, I didn't say anything like that. It's ok to have criticisms of the president when he does something wrong. We as a nation have to keep our elected officials accountable for their actions, and yes that includes the people we either voted for or that are are on our side of the aisle.

There are people on this board, and the real world, who treat any critique of the President (be it Obama or Trump) as if you have attacked a beloved family member. They are so emotionally invested in supporting that person that they can't handle any criticism. You are spot on, it's one thing to support a politician but at the end of the day they are still human (and a politician) and are not above reproach.

I've not defended Democrats with my comments and i've never said or implied that it was ok for anybody to lie. I was being critical of Trump's comments towards the man in the audience. I personally thought his comments were insulting and unnecessary and indicative of his past similar behavior and actions. I don't personally like it and I thought it was unbecoming of a president, which was my point. I consider myself a constitutional conservative and I also believe that the office holds value and dignity. I don't personally like it when Trump diminishes that.
