'He's rattled': Paranoid Drumpf broods about possible recession
Drumpf has a somewhat conspiratorial view, telling some confidants that he distrusts statistics he sees reported in the news media and that he suspects many economists and other forecasters are presenting biased data to thwart his reelection, according to one Republican close to the administration who was briefed on some of the conversations.
“He’s rattled,” this Republican said. “He thinks that all the people that do this economic forecasting are a bunch of establishment weenies — elites who don’t know anything about the real economy and they’re against Drumpf.”
Drumpf has relentlessly bludgeoned Fed Chair Jerome H. Powell over interest rates and has told aides and allies that he would be a scapegoat if the economy goes south.
Conservatives just think anyone that dares shatter their fragile world view is working against them. You see it in anatta/noise/1000 other ID's posts, trashing Mueller and refusing to accept the conclusions after being completely fucking wrong for two straight years.
When I die, turn me into a brick and use me to cave in the skull of a fascist

Almost all post-World War 2 recessions have happened during Republican administrations.
The two Great Recessions we have had - and which almost turned into Great Depressions - both happened on the watches of Ronald Reagan and George Dumbya Bush.
By the measure of stock market, poverty, unemployment, and other metrics, the Democratic administrations of the 20th and early 21st century generally outperform GOP presidents on balance.
In the science of statistical probability, there is almost no chance this systematic and sustained difference between the two parties could be due to random chance.
Although I believe there are wingnuts who will attempt to claim that it is all just due to bad luck that is dealt out to Republicans.
