I don't wanna get too into the weeds here on semantics and numbers this early but 53% of the population didn't vote for him last time. Isn't that and the following pretty much the ballgame? 11% REPS + 57% INDS = 68%. Does this mean they don't even think he should RUN again? Add back the 8% unsure assuming ALL would vote for Trump, that would be 60%.

Seriously, if I were the RNC I'd be running that poll by this NOV. "Should Trump run again." (Assuming they haven't)

More than half of voters would not consider reelecting President Trump in 2020, according to a new poll released on Thursday.

The Hill-HarrisX poll found that 53 percent of respondents said they would not consider supporting Trump's bid for reelection, compared to 39 percent of those who said they would support it.



Just 8 percent said they were unsure.

Support for Trump’s reelection broke down along party lines.

Eighty-seven percent of Democrats said they would not consider reelecting Trump, while 11 percent of Republicans said same the same. Independents sided with Democrats on the issue at 57 percent.

The poll comes comes amid rising fears of a recession, which could threaten Trump's chances of reelection...

Polls like this are meaningless because they do not poll the most likely voters. Only about 55% even bother voting. Polling EVERYONE is pretty stupid.

Once the Democratic candidate is selected, then the polls will start making a little more sense. Until then, this is a bunch of laughably dumb speculation.

My prediction you can bank; Trump will win re-election in 2020 regardless of who the Democrat is as long as the economy is doing well.

its too early for polls. it depends on who the Dem nominee is. If the D candidate is a moderate flip flopper that goes with the public, like Biden, at best those people will just not vote. If you put in a radical leftie like harris or warren, those same people will hold their nose as they vote for trump, if only to ensure that neither of those two win.
