I just don't care for that electronic club sound, personal preference.

I didn't care much for the git up at first, but my wife is harassing me to learn the dance, so she'll have someone to dance it with, lol. It grew on me.

I don't care for much of the pop country music out today, I'm more old school.

Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, happy wife, happy life..... You'll prob enjoy it once you get going.. I was doing salsa for a while I hated it, but, as I said....

There is an occasional country song that will come around I will like, but I also much prefer the older stuff..

The women in country seem to have a much more diverse sound & style compared to the men-they even mostly dress the same..

I love that old stuff from the early to mid 60's especially (ridin w/ gramma driving by Radio Keen on the way home & listening to it on the radio)...

Also like country blues & rockaBilly...

Yeah, it's a fun dance. Now that zombie Thriller dance practice has started, I have a good excuse to learn the git up. It would be a good warm up dance. At dance practice, our leader likes to warm up to the cupid shuffle.

I love rockabilly. As I said the other day, I'm a big Junior Brown fan, and his sound is heavy influenced by rockabilly. Stray Cats are awesome.

Its rustic blues but thats hard to pigeonhole so it goes in the c&w bucket.
