Great song...... I posted a few versions of it last week in the music thread..
The genre "Country" rejected as not real country-I guess cause it was kicking the shit out of all the canned, commercially scripted crap they produce now..
Yesterday I was listening to an interview w/ Jack White & the work he was trying to do w/ Loretta Lynn he finally had to say enough, & they had to do it themselves as they didn't want to make like the "same" canned shit out of there...
He also commented about how it was back in her day the sound was not restricted, a huge diversity in sounds, style etc........ Now they are all garth brooks children..
Billy Ray made lots of enemies by making a version w/ him, shitting right on the claim of not country......

When I was young I thought there were true genre, like the "labels" use for their marketing, but there isn't....... Especially w/ a lot of the modern canned stuff-using set "winning formulas".......
