Default Trump Caves. China Wins (Again)

    He can’t pull the trigger.
(I'm guessing Stormy Daniels can attest to that)

President Trump delayed the new tariffs on a large batch of Chinese imports that were supposed to go into effect Sept. 1, and exempted some other Chinese imports altogether. The move deescalates Trump’s trade war with China, and amounts to a tacit acknowledgement by Trump that his tariffs might hurt American consumers too much
    .

The impotent failure of a businessperson showed once again how wrong he was when he claimed that 'trade wars are easy to win'.

China, willing to wait out the orange clown in front of the entire world, wins this round of the trump trade war.

They know that trump is jeopardizing not only the American economy, but his re election chances by imposing these idiotic taxes on American consumers.

Ironically, after lying repeatedly about who actually pays the tariffs, trump cited 'Christmas shopping season' as a reason for crying 'Uncle' again.

You can't have it both ways. Either consumers are paying the taxes, or they aren't. Which is it?

In the end, we'll see that it was the 2000 point drop in the Dow that forced him to apologize to China.

Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

    what a dumbass
that forced him to apologize to China.
    where is this apology?
If you had a brain to think it out you'd realize other Chinese tariffs are still in effect,
and they are already slowing China's growth

a month delay helps us with Xmas shopping and keep the China sanctions on,
The delay is small. China can dig in all it wants to -it's got to come up for air soon
    Time is not it's friend

Trump wants to think he is so popular but deep down he knows he is not.

He knows he will lose what little popularity he has if he kicks off product price inflation with his trade war.

His claims just ran smack into his own BS.

tariffs slow growth, they do not cause inflation.
They are temporary increases for sure but not inflationary to costs -nothing to "kick off"

Correct. He went off on a totally inane word salad at (what turned into) a rally yesterday.

Agree. If he knew anything about foreign trade policy, instead of alienating every one of our trade partners he would have built a coalition against China in order to bring them to the table. Instead, he quit TPP, (however flawed) imposed tariffs on virtually everyone, and then just sat there with his arms folded across his chest like some petulant child.

It was his M.O in the corporate world, which accounts for his myriad failures. It doesn't work on the world stage either. The entire world now views him as an empty threat. (empty barrel, as it were). They simply have to wait him out, knowing that his gross lack of education will eventually bite him in the ass as his fantasies don't play out the way they do in his dreams.

Dummkopf is indeed a simpleton. If China is paying billions in tariffs, then why is Xmas shopping an issue? You cannot have it both ways.

America alienating China only hurts America and strengthens Russia's relationship with China.

Idiot lazy libs that never owned a retail business, ... don't know that retailers start placing their Christmas orders in February. Trump understands that and postponed the tariffs that affected those orders.
