A College Hill man has been charged in connection with a shooting on July 25.

Devonta Allen, 18, is accused of shooting at four people in Kennedy Heights.

According to police, he said, "I don't like white people in my hood" before firing.

Three of the four people he shot at where white, and one was black.

No one was injured, and Allen told police he fired the shots in self defense.

Allen is being charged with four counts of felonious assault, four counts of attempted murder and three counts of ethnic intimidation. If convicted, he faces more than 60 years in prison.

“This activity done by white or black people is intolerable," said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters. "We will seek the toughest penalty for this crime."

Allen is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $480,000 bond.
