Trump had determined that his best shot in 2020 will come from hate and division. Immigrants and blacks are the old-time dependable bigot's targets. I suspect enough people have determined Trump has done nothing for the economy but take credit. But the circumstances for the vast majority have not changed. Most Americans have apprehension about what the future will bring. They live lives of quiet desperation like they have the last few decades.
