"When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."
A lie doesn't become the truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it is accepted by a majority.

Different time, different situation. That’s all I’ll add for now.
There is a contingency on the other side of the fence from me who think full blown socialism is the way to go...all wrapped up with a basic income for all. I am opposed. That’s all. As for your last piece there about the elderly and sick, I think you glossed over the parenthetical statement in my post that said “if they are physically able.” I am wildly happy when the government is able to help the less fortunate. But I will always contend that the able should work for what they are to have. This goes to the very foundation of my belief system.oh, and who the @#$& doesn't believe hard work is the best way to succeed (unless you're born into a wealthy family, then it doesn't mean &$#@)? and should we expect the elderly and the sick to just go get a job and quit asking for help from the larger society?
