Default 50th Anniversary of the US landing on the moon.

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

Major props to Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins; because it's known that if Armstrong and Aldrin had been unable to lift back off of the moon, that they would have had to stay and die from either hunger or suicide.

There is now further discussions of using the Moon as a launching base for further exploration and since "shape" means very little in space, what kind of ship should be built?

    Borg shaped and square?

    Round?

    etc.

Plus; since the biggest threat is a meteor strike (large of small) what should be done to add protection?
SEDITION: incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.

Gene Cranz just said we need to learn to live on the moon before going to Mars.
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.

D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.

Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".

A meteor strike would be catastrophic but I’m inclined to think the probability of one hitting a small space is minimal.

I figure a self-sustaining environment would be the biggest challenge. Water, food; breathable air has to be recycled somehow [though I suppose large air tanks can be transported to the moon and back]. Just getting a rudimentary station set up is going to be a formidable challenge.

True; because it gives us the opportunity to try different things and still be close enough to the earth.

This was all on a radio talk show and it was discussed to mine asteroids and use 3D printers to start with.

Rather then build "standing structures" on Mars, I believe it would be easier and safer to use any existing caves.

Seal the inside and add a locking double port entrance.

This way you not only get protection from dust storms and the sun's rays; but protection from meteorite strikes.

I agree on the challenge; but what's life without challenges.
