Capital punishment is an antithesis to Christian ideals. So I guess we aren't the Christian country you righties want or claim we are.

It's obvious that you're trying to reach a point; but the Commandment says "Thou shall not murder" and there is a difference.

If ever there was an argument for capital punishment the article’s story is one. If the object of capital punishment is to keep the person from killing again ... who can deny that it works. IMO, it is one of the governments responsibilities ... to carry out capital punishment on these evildoers.

    interesting post

would you rather do life with no parole in a living hell or be put to sleep?

capital punishment does not deter murder, and costs more than a life sentence for the taxpayers

    do your research

Your comment has nothing to do with your previous assertion of:

"Capital punishment is an antithesis to Christian ideals.", which you don't seem to be able to explain.

SEDITION: incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.

But it does deter that person and guarantees that they will never be able to murder again.

Thou shall not kill, means in retaliation as well. It is also clear that the Bible tells us that God is the judgment giver, not us. Judge not, lest thee be judged, means we will be judged in the same severity that we dish out.

What was happening to the two thieves hanging out with Jesus that Friday ? Capital punushment.
And what did they say about it ? We deserved it, he did not.
Render unto Caesar be it taxes or your life if you commit crimes.
He could have saved them, instead he forgave their sins against God. What they did against their society is out of his domain.

NOPE; because at some point they have interactions with either guards or other prisoners and assaults have occurred.
