Nobody is saying that racist tirades should be illegal. They're saying that the president should be held to higher standards.
This is a big fallacy that Trump's defenders keep using. We're not saying he should be arrested for the things he says. We're saying some of the things he says should disqualify him from being president.
It's the same thing with this talk about colleges taking away free speech by not allowing Alt-Righties to speak. The truth is that Alt-Righties still have their freedom of speech, they're just not being given a platform.

I will, however, point out the obvious hypocrisy concerning holding presidents or presidential candidates to a higher standard with the Dems choice of Hillary, concerning both her negligence at handling classified emails and the disrespectful way she dealt with her opponents supporters. I'm not a fan of Hillary, I didn't even vote in the last election. But Hillary made a mistake with the e-mails and after numerous investigations, both Republicans and Democrats who investigated said that there was nothing in the e-mails that put us at risk. She fucked up, but not so bad that it should have been the deal it was. And as for disrespecting Trump supporters, it was stupid on her part, but not enough to disqualify her. I'd say when someone starts calling for protesters to be punched and carried out on a stretcher, they have disqualified themselves.
