Default What will the GOP do with their Faustian deal come 2020?

"Republicans Can’t Explain Why They’re Condemning the Racism of Trump’s Supporters But Not Trump’s"

"President Trump’s supporters broke into a “send her back!” chant directed at Ilhan Omar during his rally in Greenville, North Carolina, on Wednesday night — and guess what? Republicans are very concerned."

"So troubled were some members of the party’s leadership in the House of Representatives, Politico reported on Thursday, that they convened with Vice President Mike Pence over breakfast to express their discomfort, urging him to relay their concerns to the president"

"On Tuesday, every one of these moralizing lawmakers had an opportunity to vote for a House resolution to condemn Trump’s racist attacks against Omar and the three other congresswomen of color the president told to “go back” to the “totally broken and crime infested places from which they came” before they criticize his administration.

    "They declined to do so."

If Trump continues to play the hate and divide strategdy, which he surely will to cement his white base, how are those running in swing districts going to justify it to the voters?

    1) I'm only guessing here, but that meeting probably went something like, "Mr. Vice president, we know he didn't say anything racist, but we're worried how those jackass idiots are going to perceive what he said" And Pence probably said, "screw 'em, you'll never do enough, never "apologize" enough, never "condemn" enough to get them off their insane path"

    2) It's probably been said a thousand times on this board alone, but if you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail. The new left is a big fucking racism sledge hammer going after thumb tacks, and they got a whole laundry list of stuff that's wrong with this country(but nothing on what's going right)and it's all high priority with them, and when everything is a priority, NOTHING is

So you are saying it is going to help them? GOP candidates in swing districts are going to,profit off of supporting Trump's racist comments?

    How?

You weren't listening. Despite all your lamentations about race and all the other "-isms" that have you guys triggered, there has never been a better time to be a member of ANY of the special little groups the left has split Americans into and claimed as their own. You guys are on a crusade, not to make the USA "a more perfect union" as the founders called for, but a completely perfect union(as envisioned by the left)where none of the "-isms" exist anymore. I think your so-called leaders understand that this is impossible to achieve, but things are going so well for everyone, they're grasping at any lifeline they can. And it IS impossible to achieve, but after their inevitable failure, there will always be the right wing to blame(and the rich! Never forget the rich!). It's a perpetual cause for you guys. One day you'll get power back, and your base is gonna call you on your bullshit, and you'll just blame the right. On it goes.

So is it going to "help" the GOP? Don't know, don't care. The "-isms" aren't a factor in how I vote, or even for most of the people I know(dem or gop).

This America hating antisemite is given a pass by the radical, Democrat Socialists.

Not by Americans who love America though.

Send her back means if she hates America so much...and she does...why doesn’t she leave?

The left is stuck on stupid with their "RACIST" obsession, the term
that they hijacked from the legitimate Afro American grievance.
Liz Chaney sets the record straight...............

Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

    Indeed, Stretch.

The only people who care about their race are the far left.

They have lost on collusion and obstruction and have moved on to “race.”

AOC has done an excellent job in congress asking questions of witnesses. She does her homework and works at it. Those are the public displays of their work. Rashida has also done a great job. I have not noticed the other 2. But they are serious politicians working their jobs. I am sure they are being backed by constituents. It is too bad that obscure freshmen congresspeople have been singled out by Trump.
Like Pelosi said, they are just 4 votes out of 435.

It's the teabag situation, only magnified. Every Republican lawmaker hates trump, save for Lindsey Graham who dreams of having trump's flaccid cock in his mouth.

They're afraid of being primaried. Plain and simple. They're caught in a bad situation. Support the worst POTUS in history and get beaten by a Democrat (in close districts)...or speak your conscience and get primaried by a Nazi supporter.

Agree. Their committee work is stellar. Their ultra Left ideas might have some merit with major compromises, but right now they're non starters. Nobody gets to Washington in their first year and rams anything through the establishment. When they learn to present their cases in a manner that doesn't resemble grandstanding, they'll have a long list of accomplishments under their collective belts.

Meanwhile, AOC has shown herself to be well researched, and well prepared for committee work.

So you thought you, Donald Trump, and your Republican asshole friends could just make up total shit about Obama and Hillary for 8 years, and spew your hateful froth, about anything and everything Obama or Hillary did or didn't do, damning them if they did, and damning them if they didn't- and think the Majority of Voters that actually voted for Hillary in 2016 were going to just be silent during Donald Trump's Presidency?

Oh, on the contrary! I completely expected you and your asshole friends to just make up total shit about Trump and the GOP for 3 years, and spew your hateful froth, about anything and everything they did or didn't do, damning them if they did, and damning them if they didn't! It would have been really dull around here if you hadn't! But before you "exonerate"(you clowns like that word, right?)obama and HRC, you might want to wait for the AG to finish HIS investigation!
