The conditions are harsh because our resources are overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of immigrants.

Seems we all agree it’s been that way for years. Was it ‘Trump’s crisis’ when the same harsh conditions were in place under Obama? Or under Bush II, for that matter?

How about we start calling it ‘congress’s crisis’? Since they are responsible for fixing our immigration laws such that these poor people will be *discouraged* instead of encouraged to take themselves and their kids—or someone else’s kids, on a dangerous journey where people may die in our hands. Assuming they survive being raped or otherwise abused by the cartels.

Why don’t they do that?

I don't know about you, but I couldn't care less what happens to these asylum seekers. They come here in "caravans" overwhelming our borders and detention centers, bringing kids who they don't even know and expect to get preferential treatment over those who go through the legal system of entry to our country.
Then, we have these vote mongering socialists blaming our president and border agents for what they don't want to fix. Screw 'em.
