When someone denies that an offensive racist word or term is racist and offensive, he is pretending that using it is not hurtful to those the word(s) target. I'm sure you've seen ppl here call each other "cunt"... and then argue that it's just a word. Do you agree with that? Does it bother you to be called that word? What if someone in real life called you that? Do you feel like since they're "just words," you'd be good with calling a woman you see in the store wearing a burka a "Muzzie" or "Muslime"? Would you call out to your server in a restaurant, "Hey, nigga, get me some more Coke"?
