I’m dismissive of the chant because it’s just the latest faux outrage *I’m supposed* to be outraged over. [we know the right must stick with a manufactured Fox outrage instead] I choose not to be. [You and all the other Fox viewers. Coincidence?] I don’t like to be told what to be outraged over or what is racist or what isn’t it.

Right. That would violate the con. And guess what. Fox viewers ARE told what to be outraged over.

To me, this is an outrage:

Sounds like a very mature way of opposing the ugliness of greed and racism.

Seems pretty clear that Omar is out to boycott Israel.

That is appropriate because of the way Israel oppresses the Palestinians. Gaza has been turned into a huge concentration camp. It is almost like Israel is trying to take out revenge for what was done to Jews in WWII, only they have picked on a weaker group, easier to oppress. Their efforts to 'get even' have backfired and now the guilt is theirs. They have become what they hated.

The Nazis organized boycotts against Jews, didn’t they? Of course, she’s already free to do that under the First Amendment. But First Amendment rights aren’t absolute [one can be sued for liable in spite of the First] and if Omar wants to Congress to institute a boycott of Israel—she has some heavy lifting to do lol.

Sometimes a movement standing up for what is right begins with a lone voice.

So, some Trump supporters were chanting to ‘send her back’. NOT because she’s black, a Muslim and from Somalia. Rather, because she’s an antisemite.

Not true. The calls of antisemitism are a little too quick. She has said nothing about the Jewish religion. Only about how that nation has behaved.

I advocate sending all antisemitic immigrants back to where they came from.

Yes, actually, we do. We are the land of diversity. Our strength, our greatness comes from having many voices, not all repeating the same dictated manufactured message.

Not that it’s ever going to happen but I’m on board with the sentiment. [It is an ugly sentiment] That some boisterous Trump supporters would voice that opinion, in unison, at a rally tells me we haven’t totally lost the country, yet anyway.

And the resounding response to that ugliness is what tells me the same thing.
