"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

And Trump is tuned-in to it: Jobs and the economy. Democrats want to talk about how racist Trump and his supporters are. Mullet is supposed to make an appearance next week so democrats may go back to kicking the collusion/obstruction dead horse for a bit.

It’s beyond me why anyone would even consider voting for them.
Coup has started. First of many steps. Impeachment will follow ultimately~WB attorney Mark Zaid, January 2017

I will say there have been good economies before under Republican administrations and that didn't lead to blacks and other minorities voting Republican. Will it be different in 2020? Possible of course but I wouldn't personally bet on it.

My unasked for two cents. Because of where I grew up and went to school and I know number of black and minority people and then being connected with these folks on social media I see what they say. So it's an extremely small sample size but I don't think they deviate far from the norm in their beliefs. The hatred for Trump (and Republicans) is strong.

I've sat in a room with three or four black friends and the subject of Trump has come up and how he's a racist. I was at the country club yesterday playing golf with three other guys (all white male Republicans) and afterwards getting drink politics came up and whether Trump was a racist or not (they didn't think he was). It's like two different worlds and two different mindsets.

In my social media feeds the economy never comes up. It's generally about racism (or perceived racism) when it comes to Trump and Republicans.

Now like I said, this is a small sample size and they don't speak for all black people or all minorities. So from what I see the economy being good isn't converting people to the Republican Party. However the numbers will speak for themselves in Nov 2020 and we'll see what people do.

I deny the hype. We do the same and worse.
None of which is all that important voters aren't swayed by FB adds.

The cost of marginalizing Putin is giving Xi a stronger hand

Exactly. He can pander to the 30% of the country that supports him. He governs the same way. He does it in order to keep Congressional Republicans in line.

The overwhelming majority of voters chose someone other than trump in '16. It will be the same in '20
